Junior Area Sales Manager – Ceramic TilesJob Title: Junior Area Sales Manager – Ceramic TilesIndustry Sector: Ceramic Tiles, KBB, Kitchen & Bathroom Retailers, Independent Retailers and Builders MerchantsArea to be covered: Midlands, Wales & South WestBased: West MidlandsRemuneration: £25,000 Neg. + 10-15% BonusBenefits: Fully Expensed Car & BenefitsThe role of the Junior Area Sales Manager Ceramic Tiles will involve: * Junior field sales role selling a manufactured range of ceramic tiles * Working closely with existing field sales representative, fantastic opportunity to progress into fully fledged field sales position * Predominantly an account management role, looking after the more established customers within a portfolio of (Apply online only) independent bathroom retailers and approx. 20 importers (established field sales person will focus on new business development) * Jointly responsible for existing revenues of currently £1.2m UK revenue and €700,000 export sales to Spain * Tasked with growing the area to £1.4m UK sales and €800,000 export revenue in the next financial year * Majority of time will be spent in the West Midlands as 70% of the UK revenue comes from a 30 mile radius of Birmingham, rest of time evenly split between the South West and Wales (2-3 days per month) * Accounts will vary in size from £15,000 up to £200,000 turnover * Three/ Four days a week on the road meeting customers * Overnight stays when required, and travel 3-4 times a year to Spain and Italy * Assisting with merchandising, training, developing and nurturing bathroom retailers * Ideally you will spend one day a week (admin day) in the West Midlands head officeThe ideal applicant will be a Junior Area Sales Manager Ceramic Tiles with: * Ideally with 12 months+ sales experience * Must have worked for a builders merchant or tile & bathroom retail showroom with aspirations to move into field sales * May also consider a merchandiser from the building industry looking for first foray into field sales * On the up in career, mouldable and looking for a genuine career path * Resilient personality * Prepared to do high UK mileage and happy to travel abroad when requiredThe Company: * Leading European manufacturer of ceramic tiles * Small UK subsidiary * Est. 15 yearsWhilst we will always endeavour to respond to you, due to the high levels of applications we receive this isn’t always possible.
