Learning and Development Co-ordinator

We are working exclusively on an exciting permanent opportunity for a Learning and Development Co-ordinator to join one of the UK's leading Chartered Surveyors for the utility and infrastructure sectors. Our client deals with everything from pipelines and wind turbines to cables and transport whose core expertise lies in linear projects delivered to a wide range of clients from multiple offices across UK.

The successful candidate will join the People Team and report to the People Manager. This is an opportunity to join a fun, agile and fast paced business. The People Team are a busy function; supporting company growth ambitions, rolling out new initiatives to evolve working practices and embracing the culture to ensure people have a great work experience. We are looking for an organised individual who is passionate about supporting people on their learning journey. The role and our client are a growing company, and we want someone who can take the current training within the company to the next level.

To succeed in this role, you will need to manage our client's Future Talent development programmes, providing the organisation with a constant pipeline of high calibre graduates, apprentices and work placements across the different sectors and supporting their development into future leaders and technical specialists.

What you'll be doing:

* Be on hand to respond to HR queries

* Oversee facilitation of future talent: apprentices, work placements, work experience and graduates

* Manage the training levy

* Promote the career opportunities available for graduates and school/college leavers, ensuring that best use is made of any time and resources directed at school and universities liaison activities

* Management of the graduate programme

* Future talent liaisons

* Coordinate the delivery of training through scheduling courses and ordering and collating all materials for delivery by the trainer

* Develop and expanding training programme within the business at all levels to enable people to maximise their potential

* Understand and identify training needs to create and design relevant training material

* Collate a suite of training materials for ease of access for employees

* Evaluate and document all training

* Be able to adapt training to be delivered both face to face and online at the flick of a switch

* Maintain the HR database and personnel records

* To provide general HR Administration to the People Team (contracts, letters, communication, ad hoc requirements)

* Suggest and support improvements within the People Team

* General day to day support for the business when needed
