Salary: £25,000 per annum

About the Role:Chestertons is currently searching for a Graduate Surveyor to join our established Valuations Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced team who are experts in their field. The successful candidate will be degree qualified and looking to start or will have already started the APC process. We’re looking for someone with bags of energy, who takes pride in delivering exceptional service levels 100% of the time; most importantly of all, you must enjoy a fast-paced, challenging environment and working with people.
Responsibilities:- Work with the team leader or departmental head to secure, undertake and deliver instructions won by the department
- Be responsible for researching comparables, statutory requirements, maps and photos in instructions
- Maintain any department databases, begin to draft reports
- Be aware of selling Chestertons services to existing clients and, where possible, to new ones
- Be responsible for all arrangements with RICS in connection with APC leading up to passing
- Be responsible for getting sign offs on documents as required
- Start to build relationships with clients and relevant professional organisations
- Identify and refer opportunities for cross selling to other departments
- Undertake administrative tasks and where necessary to assist more senior staff. For example, research, preparatory work, raising invoices, chasing debts.
- Be responsible where appropriate for the division’s compliance with group and divisional policies and procedures for health, safety and welfare, and equal opportunities
- Understand responsibilities under the company’s Health, Safety and Welfare and Equal Opportunities Policies which are appropriate to the above role

You may have experience of the following: Graduate Valuations Surveyor, Surveying, Graduate Building Surveyor, MRICS, MCIOB, Cost Manager, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Estate Agency, RICS, CIOB, Valuations Surveyor, etc.
