We are based at the Scottow Enterprise Park (formally RAF Coltishall) so you will need your own transport, as public transport is limited to this part of Norfolk.

Following an increase in growth and productivity, AMEL is seeking to expand its workforce and we are now actively recruiting for the following full time (40 hour week) permanent role:

Trainee Composite Laminator

We will provide on-site Training to allow you to progress and develop into the Composite Laminator role, which includes all aspects of laminating and manufacturing, use of materials and mouldings, hand lay-up, plug and mould making, resin mixing and moulding, testing materials and finishing products.

Whilst we don't require you to have previous experience as a Laminator, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

Ability to work towards a good understanding of composites working practices with respect to patterns, moulds and finished components.

Ultimately, the ability to interpret and work to engineering drawings and process manuals.

Attention to detail and quality standards throughout product cycle.

Fabricate moulds from supplied patterns using resin infusion techniques.

Good communicator with the ability to consult with other team members and maintain build records.

Work in a safe manner in accordance with company and HSE guidelines.

Work unsupervised within a small team environment.

The Person:

Good standard of Education, especially Reading, English & Maths (for resin mix calculations).

Dexterous

Practical & comfortable with physical working

Good hand-eye co-ordination

Able to follow written and verbal instruction

Capable of reaching set targets within a given time

Enthusiastic and highly motivated to achieve excellent results. (a can do attitude!)

Flexible approach to maintain work-flow patterns if required.

Willingness and ability to listen, learn and apply new skills.
