Job description

Hunter Mental Health have an opportunity for an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to work within a Community Hospital based in Weymouth, Dorset. They are looking for an experienced CAMHS Practitioner to conduct both face to face and virtual online assessments, with good knowledge of child and adolescent mental health.

The role is 22.5 hours per week, on an initial 2 month ongoing Locum contract. There is opportunity to work part remotely and part office based, you will be provided with equipment to work from home.

Requirements:

Ability to access clinical risk, good knowledge of child and adolescent mental health.
Safeguarding level 3.
Working knowledge of Children's' Act.
Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
Understanding of Consent, Capacity and Gillick competence.
Ability to use online tools given most interventions are virtual.
Ability to use electronic patient recording system.
Understanding of system issues and ability to work with complex family systems.
Basic skills in CBT, trauma focussed work, DBT and child development
Understanding of neuro developmental conditions.
