    Bosch Stockport are offering a year placement ideally for a student within their second year of studies. We are seeking an intern to be a part of our Finance department starting in Summer 2021. The placement will sit within the Automotive Aftermarket sector of our business at our Stockport offices in Greater Manchester.

    Job Description

    You will report into the Finance Controller and your duties will include:

    • Office based – relocating for summer 2021.
    • General financial administration - regular review of the P&L elements, monthly and quarterly forecast cycle support.
    • Involved in monthly operational reporting.
    • Help create and distribute different monthly financial reports with a high level of accuracy and meet established deadlines.
    • Engage in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline financial planning and budget management processes for efficiency and accuracy.
    • Liaise with and provide guidance and advice to non-finance staff within the organization.
    • Assist with Ad hoc finance projects.
    • Exposure to internal controls/compliance and governance.
    • Support yearly external audit.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the below skills/experience:

    • 2nd Year student looking to gain experience within the finance industry.
    • Flexibility: Switch gears on a moment’s notice and adapt to shifting priorities
    • Motivation: Leverage your personal skills to drive results and influence success
    • Autonomy: Manage your time, work independently, and prioritize tasks
    • Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional internal teams and establish positive relationships
    • Accountability: Take ownership of your work
    • Conflict Resolution: Show off your problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Excellent computer skills with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Bonus: Language skills, in particular German - preferred but not essential.
