Sessional Lecturer in GCSE and Functional Skills English at Paston College

18 hours per week, Fixed Term until 31 December 2021

£25.47 per hour

The Post

We require a Sessional Lecturer within our large and ever growing innovative and proactive team. We are one of the largest post-16 GCSE centres in the UK, teaching English and Maths to approximately 4,000 learners You will be required to teach functional skills and GCSE English to predominantly 16 - 19 year olds alongside their vocational qualifications as an integral part of their programme of study. Some experience of teaching students with barriers and challenges to learning would be an advantage.

English and Maths

The School teaches English and Maths GCSEs and Functional Skills. Key features of the Centre include:

* Our part time adult provision offers, English, Maths GCSE, Functional Skills English and Maths to approximately 500 students.

* We work very closely with course teams across the College to ensure successful English and Maths outcomes for those studying full time vocational qualifications

* A specialist tutorial team working closely with students, teachers and parents and providing support for progression to further and higher education, employment and training.

* Dedicated, specialist accommodation, including subject base rooms. Access to the College's wide range of specialist services such as our GEM Study Centre, library, additional learning support and personal and financial support

* A friendly and informal working environment
