Job description

We are looking for a Head of Automotive Curriculum for one of our great clients.
Location:
Home Based (Within an accessible distance of Herfordshire and Northamptonshire)
This Role Requires You to Be:
* An expert in creating and implementing education material with a strong emphasis on digital learning and remote teaching.
* An expert in digital/remote delivery platforms and methodologies
* To ensure that the availability of schemes of work and lesson plans are in place and learner focussed. Also adapted for remote teaching/distance learning
* To develop appropriate learner resources to support the ongoing delivery of qualifications
* To lead the successful implementation of innovative methods of delivery relevant to learner needs and increase the use of flexible work-based and distance learning
* To provide regular progress reports highlighting areas for concern and areas of outstanding practice
* Interpret learning and development policy, provision and initiatives; assess for relevance and present delivery options
* Maintain compliance with the requirements of the Education Inspection Framework
* Deliver training to Tutors and Skills Coaches to ensure a high quality of teaching to learners
* To check the quality of teaching carried out by Tutors and Skills Coaches in the form of observations
Person Specification
* Proven management experience in the Automobile Industry training sector
* Proven ability to understand varying remote learning platforms and capable of writing relevant engaging and efficacious digital learning content
* Engaging presentation style and comfortable in a high profile role.
* Ability to maintain a focus on consistent delivery expectations at the highest standards.
* Highly self-organised and effective time management - an effective project manager
* Highly adept Microsoft office user with particular expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Key Competencies required for role:
* Experience of HGV, LGV, Cars and Electric Vehicles
* Proven management experience in the Automobile Industry training sector
* Must have 2-5 years experience writing and implementing curriculum in technical and non-technical automotive industry
* Proven ability to quality check and measure the impact of curriculum implementations
* Experience improving online learning platforms and designing and implementing online platforms
* Proven ability to understand varying remote learning platforms and capable of writing relevant, engaging and efficacious digital learning content
* Proven track record at achieving targets within set timescales
* Engaging presentation style and comfortable in a high profile role.
* Ability to maintain a focus on consistent delivery expectations at the highest standards.
* Excellent communication skills, including teamwork, ICT (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working with external clients and stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
* Must have a background in the motor industry
* PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification
* Functional Skills level 2 or above in Maths, English and ICT
* Proven experience in creating high quality teaching and learning materials for Apprenticeships.
