As part of their ongoing expansion they now require a Hydraulic Hose Technician Supervisor to join their ever growing, fast paced team at their Fluid Power department, based out of their Halesowen site. The ideal candidate must be motivated and have a passion for achieving high standards and have a good knowledge of fluid power and products.

Working hours are 40 per week Monday to Friday, also part of a Saturday rolling rota.

Main duties & responsibilities include but not limited to:

The central role will be to provide a professional Hose Assembly / Kitting Service to Hayley Fluid Power customers and wider branch network.

Day-to-day duties include: Maintaining sufficient stock levels within the Hose cell warehouse, performing routine maintenance checks in accordance with the Procedures set by Hayley covering all machinery and equipment. Ensuring the Hose cell is kept clean and tidy including bin locations and hose racks, supervising other hose technicians to make sure procedures are being followed and hose's and kits are checked prior to dispatch. Ensuring all tasks are carried out as per manager's verbal and written instruction, Regular stock takes are carried out.

Provide assistance to colleagues when requested.

Attend training courses as requested by management

Good personal presentation

Candidates will be expected to actively promote and demonstrate Hayley Fluid Powers Process's

The candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable

Skills & Requirements:

Ideal person will have experience with hydraulic hose assembly or have previous experience in a mechanical fitter type role, those with a strong hydraulics background will be at a distinct advantage.

Work experience in a technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essential

Basic mechanical knowledge

Good manual dexterity and physical ability

Good communication skills both orally and in writing

The ability to present yourself in a professional and courteous manner to customers and staff

The ability to be flexible and work unsupervised and to time constraints

Ability to effectively communicate technical information to engineering personnel

Education and qualifications - GCSE standard in English and Maths
