Junior Buyer - HPL

An exciting new managed healthcare services organisation, Healthcare Partners Ltd (HPL), has been created which will transform the delivery of interventional, support and facilities services to the Royal Surrey County Hospital Trust and other potential customers. The aim is to deliver significant operational, quality and financial benefits in procurement, contracts, medical equipment and servicing, through a full managed service provision. HPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal Surrey and a new business model which we want to develop as a leading service provider in its field.

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Junior Buyer to join our buying team within Supply Chain Services.

You will be accountable and responsible for

• Undertaking the processing of purchase requisitions and placement of purchase orders for Managed Healthcare Service, the Trust and its customers.

• Providing a customer service role to internal customers providing timely advice on product availability, expediting of purchase orders placed and assisting with resolution of queries regarding product availability, pricing and associated matters relating to product supply.

• Undertakings associated administration and rectification of invoice queries/discrepancies arising.

• Supporting the Senior Buyer and Buyers by reliably prioritising and managing own workload recognising the importance of effective communication both with Internal and external stakeholders acting as an ambassador for the department.

You will be educated to A Levels or equivalent, have English and Mathematics to O/GCSE level or equivalent or good standard of education. In addition you will have a broad knowledge of healthcare products/procedures.

You will possess:

Experience of working in a customer service environment

Experience of working in similar environment of stock control, warehousing order processing and follow up

Good knowledge of Microsoft systems/applications

Good attention to detail

Ability to work on your own initiative

A willingness to be flexible team player and to be prepared to cover other areas to your normal responsibilities at times of holiday or sickness is essential.
