Soho Farmhouse is a 100-acre estate and members’ club, set in the Oxfordshire countryside, located just outside of Chipping Norton. The site comprises of 40 log cabins spread around lakes, as well as the main Farmhouse and cottage, pools, a gym, Cowshed spa, tennis courts, cinema and paddock.

The Role…

As a Waiter you will ensure the highest level of service is being delivered in your section, from setting up the table and welcoming the guest to making recommendations about the menu. To truly thrive in this position you will have patience, perseverance and personality and be excited about serving the amazing dishes our chefs work hard to create.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to everyone who visits the restaurant, anticipating the guests needs
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
  • Have an outstanding knowledge of our menus to provide detailed information on the food, ingredients, allergies and portions
  • Offer recommendations on dishes and drinks to guests
  • Take accurate food and drink orders, using Micros
  • Deliver and serve food and drinks to the table
  • Upsell additional products when appropriate
  • Understand and follow the company allergy, health and safety procedures without exception
  • Effectively communicate with the bar and kitchen team for all food and drink related queries and service needs
  • Keep your section clean and tidy, dealing with spillages and refreshing tableware and silverware

    • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays is required

    Requirements

  • Experience working within food and beverage, ideally in a similar position
  • Experience providing genuine and consistent high levels of service by anticipating and exceeding customer expectations
  • Willingness to work as a team player, share information and skills to improve service
  • Effective communicator to positively work alongside different departments and colleagues
  • Hands on experience working with PDQs, Micros, OpenTable
