Band 5 trainee mammographer
An opportunity has arisen for a trainee Mammographer to join our multi-professional team at Princess Anne Hospital Breast Unit at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). This is a 12 month fixed term training position.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Breast Imaging Unit is a busy, long established specialist centre fully equipped with digital mammography equipment and provides a full range of breast imaging investigations. These include, breast tomosynthesis, stereotactic breast biopsies along with the breast screening service which is also provided remotely through three mobile units.
We are a friendly multi-disciplinary team committed to providing a first class service to our patients at our base unit and mobile units. Additionally we provide cover for the Symptomatic clinics at Princess Anne Hospital. The department supports skill mix and we employ Assistant practitioners and Radiographers in role extension. The department is committed to personal and professional development with everyone supported in CPD.
