Job Title: Logistics Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus
Hours: 40 hours a week

Overview
This highly successful market leading Engineering company have a brand-new position for a Logistics Manager commutable to the Bishop Auckland, County Durham area. This Logistics Manager position will require you to lead the Logistics teams in the success of practical objectives that support the Plant and Company Plan. Also, you will be required to work alongside the production team to continuously progress customer service quality through the logistics department guaranteeing distribution has maximum efficiency and economy, refining people development and evolving a lean culture.

Logistics Manager Key Skills / responsibilities:
Industry - Manufacturing or Distribution or Logistics environment
Leadership -
* Experience that includes, Planning, organising and coordinating the team to meet logistics requirements of the business, including temporary staff.
* Lead, manage, control and development of personnel (including absence, disciplinary and grievance, Health and Safety Training, driver assessments) using SMART objectives during regular review and feedback meetings.
Responsibilities -
* Develop and maintain good working relationships between the logistics, service and production departments to drive optimal customer service.
* To review all functional activities, develop, propose and, if agreed, implement improvements to ensure continuous improvement through increasing effectiveness, efficiency and added value.
