Residential Childcare Assessor (Trainee)
OVERVIEW: TRAINEE RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE ASSESSOR
We are looking for a Trainee Residential Childcare Assessor to join an established training provider undergoing an exciting period of growth.
The role is home based, and the learner caseload is North West based (Manchester area predominately).
The successful applicant will be from a managerial background in the residential childcare sector. You will be given a network of support as a trainee assessor, with the aim of delivering Level 3 and Level 5 Residential Childcare apprenticeships (including Functional Skills) once you have completed your assessor qualification and induction process.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: TRAINEE RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE ASSESSOR
The role is home based, and you will be visiting learners in their place of work. Managing your own diary, you will be responsible for a caseload of 40-45 learners, delivering apprenticeships in Residential Childcare, including Functional Skills delivery as part of the full apprenticeship framework.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: TRAINEE RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE ASSESSOR
Train, assess, motivate and support Residential Childcare learners on programmes towards achieving Residential Childcare Apprenticeship qualifications, including Functional skills
Maximise the use of e-learning and using a variety of assessment methods to ensure learners have the chance to evidence their knowledge in a variety of ways.
Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved Residential Childcare training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to supporting them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
Ensure the highest standards of learner completions are met and to monitor candidates progress, including carrying out regular progression reviews/additional support reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: TRAINEE RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE ASSESSOR
A minimum 2 years' occupational experience within a managerial position in a Residential Childcare setting
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage own diary
Full UK Driving License and use of own vehicle
SALARY/BENEFITS: TRAINEE RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE ASSESSOR
Starting salary £24k rising to £26k upon completed your assessor qualification
