Support Services Assistant (Bank) - COVID-19 in Swansea

Job description

Welcome to Swansea Bay University Health Board. We welcome applications from people who share our values: caring for each other, working together and always improving.

Swansea Bay University Health Board reserve the right to close vacancies after 24 hours if a large number of suitable applications are received. We encourage early applications to ensure consideration for a post.

Prior consideration for this vacancy will be given to staff currently awaiting Redeployment and we therefore reserve the right to withdraw this advert at any stage.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist in the day to day running of the Support Services Departments across the Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot area.

You must have the ability and initiative to work both on your own and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills are paramount, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

The Support Services Assistant is a new role and will include many non-clinical duties such as cleaning, portering, basic catering duties, assisting patients to order food, encouraging patients to eat, making beds and providing support to the patients.

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of cleaning standards and COSHH but full training will be provided for this post.

Hours of working are flexible, as this is a bank post. Hours can vary depending on how many shifts/hours a week you wish to work, subject to availability.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
