MSX International are currently recruiting for a Group Junior Finance Controller to be based at the MSX Colchester Office. This role is offered on a full-time basis and be prepared to work overtime when needed during peak periods. To be considered for the role, you must be prepared to travel and hold a current Full UK Driving license.
What will I be responsible for?
Joining our team as a Group Junior Finance Controller will join our Financial Reporting team and produces accurate financial and management accounts by executing the process of monthly, quarterly, and annual Actuals reporting, forecasts and budgets. You will also be responsible for:
Consolidation of management accounts on actual, forecasting and budgeting base.
Execute tasks in cooperation with the Group Financial controller and regional & market accounting team for Financial system topics including Chart of Accounts, Legal entity set-up, new projects set-up and rolling over to a new financial year.
Reconciliation of Reporting/Forecast/Budget systems to source Accounting systems.
Reconciliation of inter-company accounts.
Maintain/modify the Chart of Accounts in conjunction with the Director of FP&A.
Calculate and report Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metric, for all markets.
Cooperate with Groups statutory reporting, legal entity reporting requirement.
Ensure that relevant and effective routines and processes are in place. Take the initiative to lead efficiency improvements.
Timely submission of key deliverables to management.
Ad hoc tasks and periodic projects - according to business needs.
Who are we looking for?
To be considered for the Group Junior Finance Controller, you will possess a university degree (or higher) in accounting and/or business administration. You will have at least 3 years relevant financial experience (at a medium/large sized company). You will also have the following skills and experience:
Experience of financial analysis tools.
Experience of a multi-currency international accounting environment.
Experience of delivering or implementing change management.
Capable to take the initiative required to drive change in structural finance and operation management processes to deliver continuous improvement.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Good analytical and commercial skills.
Good communication and inter-personal skills.
Good cross-departmental communication &cooperation skills
Result oriented and strong self-motivation.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with time-bound deadlines
Desirable Skills
Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with experience of international accounting rules (either US GAAP or IFRS.
Experience of Finance in a project-based environment.
Knowledge in ERP/Accounting systems (JD Edwards), forecasting (Oracle PBCS/Smartview) and reporting (Insight & Oracle PBCS) software.
Computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles.
