This is an excellent opportunity to join a large organisation in a Global Logistics Tender Manager role. You will be responsible for the development and performance of tenders - pricing strategy for logistic movements, maximising efficiency, service and profitability. Reporting to the commercial director you will be part of a large team responsible for global logistics contracts covering Road, Sea & Rail freight throughout Europe / globally.

* Logistics Pricing / Tender Management / costing calculation and pricing setting
The key responsibilities:-
* Manage and complete tenders as per requests working in coordination with the global commercial teams
* Manage the timelines and submission dates to follow tender rules.
* Understand customer tender platforms to manage tender effectively.
* Liaise with Global sales teams and Network operations to agree target routes.
* Customer Service - Responsible for the delivery of a high standard of Customer Service against agreed targets.
* Sales maximisation - Responsible for continual sales maximisation by means of regular contact with all customers.
* Liaise with Procurement to ensure we have best in class costs for target route
* Manage the whole tender process from receipt of enquiry from customers, through assessment and contract award
* Data management / analysis experience
* Experience in negotiating terms and conditions
* Develop a broad understanding of market rates and dynamics through detailed post tender feedback analysis.
* Manage the timelines and submission dates to follow tender rules.
Person Specification:-
- Previous experience of working within a pricing supply chain logistics environment
- A demonstrable track record in winning tenders and raising the profile of the business.
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Strong process analysis, problem solving and strategy development skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft / Excel applications
