Based in the heart of Birmingham this outstanding Special Needs School are now looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team on a short term basis to support students with social, emotional and mental health. The school offers a highly structured and supportive environment which supports the pupils to ensure every pupil is able to learn to the best of their ability. It is an exciting place to learn and work, where each pupil and member of staff is valued and everyone is encouraged to succeed.
The Role
With a dedicated and supportive team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants who are committed to the health and welfare of their students are now looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.
To be the first point of call for the teacher
Preparing exciting and interactive activities
To support pupils in the achievement of their learning and behaviour targets
Ensuring the classroom is safe and tidy at all time
Adhering to all school policies
Maintain accurate pupil records
To be vigilant at all times and ensure safe guardingThe Candidate
To be successful within this role you will ideally have previous experience working with SEMH pupils. You must be flexible, patient and understanding. Ideally you will have an up to date DBS or be willing to apply for one. You must have a flexible work ethic and be able to work last minute if required.
