Hunter Mental Health is currently working alongside an amazing CBT service specialising in remote online therapy within a NHS Trust who are responsible for providing all the health and wellbeing needs of the people of mid Wales. As a rural health board with around 133,000 people living across an area that is a quarter of Wales, we provide as many services as possible locally. This is includes through GPs and other primary care services, community hospitals and community services.

We are looking for an experienced cogantive behavioural therapist to join this service on an ideally full time locum contract which is an initial 3-month contract with a strong intent to extend further. However this can be negoiated if you require less working hours. The pay range we are offering is £30 - £35ph umbrella rate.

While the hub and the trust are locationed in Wales your role will be remote and therefore able to do the role from your current location.

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:

The Online CBT Team's aims are to:

Increase treatment options available to service users experiencing mild/moderate anxiety and/or depression;
Reduce waiting lists and waiting times by improving timeliness and providing quicker access to therapies;
Improve equality of access to mental health care between service users living in urban and rural areas;
Develop and enhance online CBT service that meets the needs and demands of the people of wales.
This post is to provide a specialised Clinical psychologically minded service to clients within the Online CBT service for people with mild to moderate mental health issues, providing specialised psychological assessment and support to clients.
The assessment and delivery of treatment will encompass multi-disciplinary strategies, in order to facilitate the client's needs. All activities will be based upon a holistic, person-centred framework, utilising needs-led models, such as the Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) model and developing these interventions with teams, as appropriate.
Work autonomously in accordance with The British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles and Guidelines 2004, and Health and Care Professions Council.
Within the team, have delegated responsibility for the management and supervision of Assistant Psychologists within the framework of the team/service policies and procedures.
