Job Purpose:
Programming automation and control systems which involve programmable logic controllers.

Key Responsibilities:
Programming PLC systems using the following platforms
Siemens S7, TIA Portal Win CC
Allen Bradley RS logix, Control Logix
Omron CX Programmer, CX designer,
Mitsubishi GX works 2 and 3, GT Designer
Schneider Unity PRO, Clear Scada
Proficiency in any of these manufactures is desirable.

Production of Site specific software documentation, FDS and client sign off documentation

Implementation of automation projects based mainly on water and waste water projects in the UK.

Provide technical leadership and hands-on proficiency in the resolution of software and controls systems issues.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.

Experience with fault finding on PLCs

Keeping up to date with technological advances and new products

Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to company approval

PERSON SPECIFICATION
A relevant degree or technical apprenticeship that provides a solid foundation in the principals of Electrical or Control Systems Engineering

Programming of SCADA, HMI's and PLCs
Experience and training of Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Omron and Siemens SCADA, HMI and PLC's highly desirable.

Driving licence is essential

Desirable Experience
Understanding and experience of implementing Industrial Network Protocols such as Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus and Modbus
Process experience in Clean and Waste Water treatment
Electrical Control System Design
