Position overview of the HGV Technician
You must have served a recognised apprenticeship, have at least three years' experience and be trained to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or above as a Hgv/vehicle mechanic / fitter.
Applicants must have proven skills in vehicle fault diagnosis and be capable of maintaining a wide variety of vehicles ranging from small car derived vans to large trucks (Tippers, Tankers and Box Trailers).
Preparing these vehicles for annual test to VOSA standards is also a prerequisite of the position.
Being a qualified MOT tester would be desirable although not essential.
Entry Level Requirements for the HGV Technician
NVQ Level3 or equivalent.
