Financial Controller - Part-Time
A small, rapidly growing FMCG business based in Brighton is currently looking for a Financial Controller to work closely with the owner, assisting with the financial strategy to facilitate this expansion. It is envisaged that the role will be 4-5 hours a day, for 4-5 days per week. You will also need to be immediately available as the company would like to offer the role on a temporary to permanent basis.
Responsibilities include:
• Ensure the timely and accurate production of the Monthly and Quarterly Management Accounts including P&L and Balance Sheet
• Commentary and analysis of the main monthly cost and sales variances against budget
• Sales and purchase invoices, credit control, bank reconciliation and payroll journals
• Calculation of relevant accruals, prepayments, deferred income
• Managing Invoice discounting processes and reconciliations
• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a timely basis
• Developing controls and procedures and ensuring all transactions are reconciled
• Assisting with the year end statutory accounts
• Support in the preparation of Annual budgets and forecasts
Skills & Experience required:
• Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified significant experience in similar roles
• Experienced and high level of proficiency in Sage Accounting
• Good proficiency in Excel
• Someone who is high energy, hands on and detail orientated
