Delivery Manager- Rail x 2 (6 month FTC)
London and Liverpool
Telent is looking to recruit experienced Delivery Managers for a period of 6 months working on recent wins within Telent’s portfolio. Work is primarily based in London and Liverpool and will involve site visits on occasion.
Role Profile:
- You’ll help ensure that programme delivery is completed to agreed timescales and budget
- You’ll liaise directly with our clients to ensure timely resolution of site issues as and when required
- You’ll take a proactive approach in managing high quality standards in both delivery and Health and Safety
- You’ll be the main point of contact with field based staff and will provide defined resource plans and logistic solutions to enable the delivery of site activities
- You’ll be in contact with our engineering teams to push technical issues to swift resolution
- You’ll be in control of Sub-contractor activities ensuring full commercial, QEHS and programme requirements are met
Typical Deliverables:
- You will be responsible for the delivery of the allocated individual works carried out across a wide spectrum of projects to include minor and intermediate works, specific deliverables will include but not be limited to:
- Programme delivery
- Project updates
- Commercial/financial management and reporting of allocated works
- Resource planning – both Internal/external
- Liaison between the client, engineering, design, commercial and field based staff
- Out of hours escalation for site activities
- Pre-installation site visits for confirmation of scope of works
- Site safety tours/inspections
- Overview of site documentation to ensure latest revision/versions are being utilised
- Material/logistic coordination ensuring correct assets are in the right place at the required time
- Project closure – Documentation/Finance/Commercial
- Production of QEHS documents as required
We’d be delighted to hear from you if you have the following skills/experience:
- Experience on delivering multi-discipline projects within a Rail / Metro environment.
- PTS/Sentinel Card holder
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of financial and commercial processes.
- Site based knowledge of discipline activities.
- Excellent understanding of Programme delivery vs cost.
- Proven experience of managing sub-contract resources
- Computer literate – Microsoft package
