Charterhouse is a successful and ambitious school in an inspiringly beautiful setting. Founded in 1611, it moved to its present magnificent 250 acre site near Godalming in 1872. The School has over 800 pupils aged between 13 and 18, all of whom, except for about 40 day pupils,are boarders.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an exceptionally talented individual looking to start a career in education. This position is initially for two years, with a review after one year, and with the potential to transition into a permanent role. You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to inspire pupils and communicate knowledge with enthusiasm and a commitment to the highest of academic and pastoral standards. We are looking for someone who may be either currently completing a final year of a degree in Philosophy, Theology (or related) subjects or is a graduate in one of those (or related) subjects. You must also be genuinely prepared and excited to take roles in the wider life of a boarding school, with the desire to take part in the School’s pastoral and co-curricular activities.
