Hays Education are proud to work in partnership with a number of Pupil Referral Units and Alternative Provisions in Leicester City which cater for students who struggle to access mainstream education. These students often display very challenging behaviour and have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
These schools require Behaviour Support Workers who can provide day to day and longer term support across the school - part time and full time work available to fit around you!
Your new role
In this role, you will be required to support students who may be disengaged from education. You will build and maintain positive relationships with students to encourage learning and development. You will model and promote appropriate behaviour around school and challenge any behaviour that is not deemed to be appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
For this role, you will have experience of working with children and young people in some capacity such as a school, residential care, youth club or sports club. You will have an interest in working with challenging, vulnerable or at risk young people and be passionate about making a difference. You will also be able to work as part of a team to best meet the needs of the students
