SEN Support Worker - Part-time (3 days per week, term time only) - South Yorkshire
A Support Worker is required on a part-time basis in a special school based in South Yorkshire.
The school provides an alternative curriculum for young people aged 2-19 with complex Special Educational Needs.
As a Support Worker, you will work with children with a range of additional learning needs, including:
* Autistic Spectrum Conditions
* Severe Learning Difficulties
* Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities
* Moderate Learning Difficulties
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
You will support pupils to access a modified curriculum, which will include using resources such Eye Gaze and Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS). In addition to supporting access to learning, you will also be required to support pupils with Personal Care.
We are seeking an experienced Support Worker, who is able to work confidently and effectively to support young people with additional needs. The successful applicant must have a valid Team Teach certificate, or be willing to undertake training in February 2021.
All candidates working through Provide Education must have a valid, Update Service registered DBS, or be prepared to undertake a new DBS application through Provide Education.
