Introduction

Embark on a career where you are valued and supported in everything you do by joining the team at Pinhoe View in Exeter as a Mental Health Administrator.

Working alongside the clinical team, you will turn your hand to all administrative duties for the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007), including Mental Health Review Tribunals, Manager’s meetings and Care Quality Commission visits. 

As a Mental Health Administrator, you will be responsible for managing database and communication systems for the Mental Health Act and will manage legal and confidential documents for service users who are under the act. 

You will support the management team at Pinhoe View in the appraisal process, training, recruitment needs and will underpin audit systems to support the hospital.

With Pinhoe View due to open in March 2021, you may join the team at Wellesley Hospital in Wellington during the interim.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5 GCE’s or equivalent
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 
  • Knowledge and experience of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Certificate in Mental Health Law and Practice (or willing to train for this certificate)
  • Experience in a similar role and/or setting
  • Knowledge of legislation related to health and safety, nursing, occupational therapy, social workers and other professions
