Due to the retirement of the current postholder we are seeking an ambitious, hardworking and forward-thinking School Business Manager for our school.

Job Purpose
The School Business Manager is part of a leadership team providing professional leadership and management, enhancing effectiveness to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the school.

The School Business Manager promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s learning objectives.

The School Business Manager is responsible for GDPR, Financial Resource Management, Administration Management, Management Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Facility & Property Management, Health & Safety Management and Risk Management of the School. They will advise on and implement day to day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently which enables other members of the team to focus on teaching and learning.

General Duties Leadership & Strategy
The School Business Manager will:
•Support strategic decision making within the school’s Senior Leadership Team and Governors.
•In the absence of the Headteacher, take delegated responsibility for financial management.
•Plan and manage change in accordance with the school development/strategic plan.
•Act as an ambassador to the school.
