This role is a HR Business Partnering position for our Clinical directorate. The role will be based in our Leeds city centre office (although we’re all currently working from home), with some ad hoc travel to London. Working as part of a supportive team, you will be able to use your comprehensive HR skills, experience and knowledge to identify and deliver people interventions aligning our People Plan to the Directorate Business Plan and putting people at the heart of our service. You will be part of a Partnering Team providing a variety of HR subject matter expertise across our clinical directorate. With accountability for your own workload including employee relations cases, HR projects and initiatives, you will deliver exceptional HR services to our Directorate Management teams in support of the implementation of the People Plan ambitions.

This role is permanent, and part time, with flexible working. We can offer a minimum of 22.5 hours and a maximum of 30 hours, split across a minimum of 3 days.

As a HR BP you will:

  • Work as part of the HR Business Partner team with the ability to use your HR skills, knowledge, and ability on a wide variety of people related activities, delivering a comprehensive HR service across NHS Digital.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on a variety of both internal and external HR policies, procedures, and interventions to enable NHS Digital to deliver the People Plan.

  • Take the lead as directed on HR projects and activities to develop and embed the HR Business Partnering service across NHS Digital.

  • Produce and provide HR reports and analytical information to make evidence based decisions to inform and direct appropriate people interventions.

  • Maintain and assure data quality and information in relation to HR activity and employee records, governance, and assurance.
  • About you

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification or experience.

  • MCIPD or willing to work towards it with demonstrable equivalent level of knowledge already gained through experience.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of medical and clinical pay and associated terms and conditions.

  • Experience of providing HR expertise in a large and complex organisation, delivering through others both inside and outside the function.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to communicate highly complex employment related policy and legal issues to a variety of internal and external audiences.

  • Experience of working with multiple internal stakeholders, including HR colleagues such as the Centres of Excellence and other key business functions such as finance, commercial and legal.
  • What we offer

In addition to planned, transparent progression you can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Flexible working including part-time hours, job shares, flexible hours and part-remote set ups
  • 27 days annual leave increasing to 33 with service (pro rata for part time)

  • NHS Discounts including shops, restaurants, gym, mobile phones, and insurance
  • Employee benefit schemes which include our Season Ticket Loan and Car Lease schemes
  • Positive work environment where your contribution will be valued
