The opportunity

Due to growth we have an opportunity for a Junior Cyber Security Engineer to join our growing Content Engineering team and reporting to one of our Principal Engineers. You will produce content for labs on our game-changing platform, These labs will focus on IT/Computing and Cyber Security. 

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career within cyber security, you will be provided with supportive mentoring throughout this role by our experienced and dedicated content engineers and the wider Immersive Labs team.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product & Cyber teams to learn how to create labs and content. 
  • Work with the wider content team to test and validate lab content based on user feedback
  • Researching cybersecurity, technology and technical concepts to understand the learnings, and translate to a non-technical audience.
  • Collaborating on exercises & content creation based upon research
  • Support various events such as Capture the Flag
  • Produce multi-format content utilising various teaching methods; written, exercises, questions, gamification

  • Have a good understanding of networking and computing
  • A good understanding of Cyber Security
  • Clear, accurate and articulate English writing skills 
  • Desire to learn and develop your skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Be able to write technical content in simple, non-technical language
  • Familiar with Linux and Docker would be beneficial
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
