PGT Student Support Officer

Job description

The post holder will provide support to students on Postgraduate programmes within the School of Economics and Finance. The role will be the point of contact for PGT students, providing support, advice, and guidance. You will play a lead role in the implementation of the School’s student experience strategy in relation to PGT students.

About You

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience of providing support to students and of administration in a university environment. You will be able to work with tact and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues. You will also have excellent organisational skills and an ability to organise and prioritise your own workload.

The School of Economics and Finance is a leader in teaching and research at both the national and international level. It has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programmes that are jointly run with other Schools. The School has over 700 undergraduate students.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, fixed term appointment for 9 months, with a start date as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,220 - £40,194 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Please note that we advertise our salaries on a range to indicate the trajectory of progression that can be made. Appointments are usually made at the start of the salary range.
