As a Data Science Intern at PayPal, using your analytical skills, you will support the team as we tackle major company challenges. You will act as a business consultant to drive recommendations and implement solutions that ultimately impact the bottom line. And you will do it all by collaborating with a global team of colleagues across sales, operations, product, data science, and finance in an environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation. Please note this is a 12 week full-time Summer internship located in London. We require candidates to have appropriate working rights for this opportunity.

Your Day-to-day Will Involve

  • Using modeling and analytics to understand how business decisions impact our bottom line.
  • Developing fraud prevention solutions for complex use cases
  • Leveraging data analysis tools and technologies. For example, using machine learning to determine new fraud trends.

  • Basic Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing or recently obtaining a Master's degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
  • Basic experience with data extraction, analysis, and visualization tools such as SQL, Python
