Technical Delivery Lead in Birmingham

4 - 40 hours per week

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Delivery Lead with datacentre migration experience to join us in Birmingham . The successful candidate will work on a migration programme with a number of key workstreams and will provide technical delivery, leadership and governance.

What to Bring

  • A solid background in Technical Delivery, Leadership and Governance
  • Experience of datacentre migrations including process definition & validation
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Microsoft Server, VMware, Citrix and Linux gained in a hands-on technical support role
  • Citrix migration experience
  • Messaging / Email experience (beneficial)
  • Previous experience of dealing with outsource providers
  • Ability to identify and manage risks
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with individuals up to Senior Leadership level
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven documentation skills
  • Ability to be self-supporting and proactive
  • An awareness of emerging technologies and demonstrable desire to stay current
  • Technical Microsoft/VMware/Citrix certifications 
  • What You will Do

  • Assess server workloads based on server inventory and application discovery information to assign a ‘treatment’ migration approach
  • Analysis of citrix workloads to guide transition approach
  • Technical governance & co-ordination in multi-vendor scenarios
  • General Technical validation / input & co-ordination
  • Investigation into department file share > SPO Project
