We are looking for an active & driven HR Placement Student to join our team specializing in Human Resources to have the unique opportunity to assist with Employee Relations , lead own HR related projects and deal with various stakeholders for Cummins Business Services business segment in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • This role will report to the HR Advisor and will provide HR assistance to employees and managers;

  • Input data into the Data Management System (OneSource) and supporting with the time attendance system (Etime);

  • Coordinate training and maintain training records;

  • Arranging onboarding and inductions for new starters as well as conducting Exit Interviews for Leavers;

  • Support the department with ongoing projects;

  • Support the team in employee relation cases such as Ethic Investigations and Flexible Working Meetings.

  • To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a Bachelor or Master's degree in Human Resources or Business Management with modules in Human Resources and not graduating this academic year.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as having attention to detail, time management and being approachable.

  • PC literate in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is desirable.

  • Has experience in, and can demonstrate, relevant examples of Cummins core values e.g. voluntary work, community involvement activities, working with disadvantaged groups, charity related support, delivering superior results, teamwork, competencies and outside education experiences.
