Introduction:

Our client based in Gateshead, Tyne Wear now has an immediate requirement for a Weekend Dayshift Engineer to join their existing team.
CIRCA £30,000 ANNUAL SALARY, 6AM – 6PM 12 HOUR SHIFTS FRIDAY, SATURDAY SUNDAY, EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTORY PENSION, 28 DAYS HOLIDAY PER YEAR
Weekend Dayshift Engineer Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working as part of a team of Engineers delivering planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the busy food production environment.
- You will be responsible for working on a variety of food production machinery including the building services across the factory and offices.
- Attend breakdowns and carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to ensure minimum downtime.
- Ensure the routine maintenance schedules from the manager are carried our as well as annual service and calibrations
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations associated with the equipment and the site.
- Complete maintenance logs, write reports on defects.
Weekend Dayshift Engineer Applicant Requirements:
- You must have a strong Multi Skilled Engineering background in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or be an experienced Electrical Engineer with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- It is essential for this role that you have a strong electrical engineering background.
- Flexible with regards to learning new machinery.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Weekend Dayshift Engineer Benefits:
- Circa £30,000 annual salary.
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday shifts 6am-6pm. Possibility of overtime at an enhanced rate for any night shift hours worked.
- 28 days holiday per year.
