We are currently recruiting for a Junior Process Development Scientist to join our Process Development & Production team based in Guildford, Surrey.
A Junior Process Development Scientist will be responsible for assisting Scientists with the execution of projects within the set timeline. You will also perform predefined experiments as outlined in the study plans, whilst always ensuring that you work in compliance with the GxP regulation and MedPharm’s QMS.
This is a temporary, fixed term position to assist our department with projects during a busy period, with a view of starting immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Scientist / Senior Scientist in executing projects in accordance to the study plan, experimental designs and SOPs, in agreed timelines and in compliance with MedPharm’s QMS.
- Maintains cross-functional communication with the internal stakeholders of the project.
- Review literature in preparation for studies and to regularly update knowledge by reviewing appropriate literature.
- Characterise formulations during development phase and on developmental stability studies and Tox batch release.
- Undertake general waste disposal and contribute to the general tidiness and cleanliness of the laboratory environment
- Raise and complete relevant documentation pertaining to the ordering and purchasing of equipment for the department.
Applicant requirements:
- University degree in a related field (biotechnology, pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering etc.).
- Knowledge of Formulation and Manufacturing science
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
