Care Worker (Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Permanent £8.80-£9 per hour)

Pleasant Valley Care provides home care services for your loved ones who can be elderly, have physical or learning disabilities. We help them with their care needs so they can live independently in their own homes and community environment. Tasks can include domestic cleaning and providing personal care.

10 - 40 hours per week
Between £8.00 and £9.00 Per Hour

  • Do you have a good command of spoken & written English?
  • Are you able to provide personal care for both men and women?
  • Are you able to complete an Enhanced DBS Check?
 
Please note that your own means of transport is essential. Drivers with a valid driving license are required as well as those you can use public transport reliably.
 
Our Recruitment Focus is the following...
  • We need you to be fully available to work for the first month of employment i.e Monday-Sunday, 6am-10pm.
  • After the first month we will base your shifts on the availability you provide but you will be required to work two weekends of the month.
  • Location: Birmingham and Sandwell.
  • We'd need you to be willing to travel to the following areas to attend calls: Great Barr (B41,B42,B43,B45), West Bromwich(B70,B71) Smethwick(B66).

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linens.
  •  Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients.
  • Observe, monitor and record clients’ food and medication intake, physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to office staff.
 
Requirements for the role:
Desirable Qualification: NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care. Have an understanding of the relevant Health and Safety Legislation for Movement and Handling.

To keep our carers as safe as possible, we strictly adhere to the government guidelines and provide free PPE (face shields, mask, gloves, etc) to all our carers. We give free training to carers about how to stay safe and protect themselves on the field.
