The Challenge

ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities
To provide Line Management and leadership for all administrational functions undertaken in MGS Head Office MOD Lyneham. The role includes line management of two E1 grades and close working support for all management and administration grades.
The Service Delivery Operations Support Manager’s Responsibilities are as follows:
• Running the Head Office including handling both routine & sensitive/protectively marked correspondence & papers.
• Prompt & accurate circulation, receipt, preparation & dispatch of correspondence, both electronically & manually.
• Coordinating visitors & office calls, assistance with VIP’s, high profile visits, conferences including Video Telephone Conferences (VTCs) & SKYPE/Teams & presentations.
• Management for all Outer Office documentation & mail.
• Management direction for booking & setting up of conference rooms, including liaising with Station Admin & the Finance Department if refreshments are required.
• Effective management to ensure running of the Outer Office, & also provide admin options to other MGS Head Office activities as required.
• To Understand, develop & implement the Health & Safety Responsibilities of the post through the application of best practice, & compliance with the Health & Safety Policy Statements.
• Secretary to the Business Support Meeting & Management Committee taking publication of minutes & actions as required.
• On request of the Line Manager, he/she must attend courses which have been identified to improve his/her professional skills.
• Is required to ensure Admin Staff at MGS Head Office duties are covered during their absence.
• Is responsible for keeping account of all Airwave Radios & Body Worn Video Cameras across the Organisation.
• To be the Point of Contact for all raised issues regarding Airwaves & Body Worn Video Cameras.
• To take lead as the MGS OAPC Lead liaison, this includes holding management groups for audit purpose’s & external screening for NSI Accreditation.
