ASSOCIATE EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST/ ASSOCIATE TRAINEE EP/ ASSOCIATE ASSISTANT EP (freelance opportunities available, from occasional work up to 2 days per week)

Paul Kelly Psychology is inviting expressions of interest from Educational Psychologists who are interested in varied and exciting professional opportunities. This opportunity is also available to Trainee Educational Psychologists and Assistant Educational Psychologists.


This is a freelance, self-employed associate opportunity and therefore you remain in control of what work you want to accept and are free to accept or decline work. The work offered is likely to include EP assessments including diagnostic assessment, consultations, training for schools and colleges, access arrangement assessments and therapeutic work. We have a range of Service Level Agreements with schools and colleges, including special schools, which gives scope for varied and stimulating work. This associate role allows you to work flexibly and to choose the geographical location you want to work in. Support and supervision is provided in this associate role and there are opportunities for team working and connection with other members of the team.

* How you meet the essential minimum requirements: Psychology degree (or BPS equivalent) and British Psychological Society BPS Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC)

* Any additional qualifications are desirable, including professional qualification in Educational Psychology (doctorate, masters or equivalent)

* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)/ other bodies

* Your preferred location for working (e.g. postcode and preferred mile radius- please specify)

* Your previous experience, skills and areas of interest

* How you would approach an associate role with high professional standards, independence, initiative and enthusiasm

* Your preferred number of days’ work over an average month


The rates of pay are favourable and meet or exceed the daily rates of employed EPs/ TEPs/ AEPs in Local Authorities. All our policies and payment terms will be shared with successful expressions of interest.
