Junior Project Developer / Land Procurement in Cambridge

Job Overview

ABEI ENERGY is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) which engages in the full management of projects to generate power from renewable resources using photovoltaic, csp, biomass, wind, hydroelectric and cogeneration power technologies. We’re rapidly expanding our international presence and we’re looking to add a Project Developer to our team in the south of England. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Development UK, your job will be to procure new land areas for renewable project development.

- Land location and negotiation for the development of Solar and Wind projects.

- Establish trusted relationships with land owners and offer them full support throughout the development process

-Secure land rights, interconnection rights, building permits, and property tax agreements

- Control location of grid connection points and management of access to the national electrical power grid

- Control and management of calendars, tasks and processes in project development.

- Education / Degree: Bachelor´s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience developing renewable energy projects and/ or  experience in real estate

- High level of competency on Microsoft Excel and other Office programmes

- Extensive negotiating skills, networking and interpersonal skills, flexibility and multi-tasking, entrepreneurial orientation, excellent written and oral communication
