Based in our Bristol office; we are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent basis.
The role
This role will have exposure to different teams across the finance organisation, assisting in the production of reporting and other ad-hoc financial projects.
- Maintain the general ledger, prepare and understand reporting packs for entities across the UK Group.
- Prepare an upload trial balances into HFM for Group reporting.
- Assist in driving improvements to existing financial reporting processes across the Sanlam UK Group.
- Participate actively in projects, both strategic and compliance based.
Skills
The successful candidate may demonstrate the following:
- Accounting/Finance graduate, AAT or part-qualified accountant
- Good understanding of core accounting principles
- Financial Services experience preferential
- Solutions oriented
- The ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to challenge sources of data
