Trainee ABA Tutor - Newham

We are currently recruiting for a trainee ABA Tutor to join a primary school based in Newham. This position is within a mainstream primary school supporting children with Autism and other learning difficulties within the school.

This is a really exciting permanent opportunity to be part of a new specialist service that the school have created for children with autism or other related difficulties.

You will be working as part of a team, delivering an individual education programme, based on the scientific theory of Applied Behaviour Analysis (Verbal Behaviour). You will work cohesively with teachers, consultants and therapists to deliver a programme that enables learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve.

Requirements:

  • A child only DBS check registered on the online update service
  • A good understanding of 2015 SEND CoP
  • Teaching or tutoring qualifications NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant field, RBT or Psychology Qualifications
  • Experience of working with Autistic children in formal or informal settings
