Legal Delivery Manager in Manchester

4 - 40 hours per week

Job description

We are currently looking to recruit a Legal Delivery Manager into our Mindcrest UK Delivery Centre within our Manchester office.

As a Legal Delivery Manager you will support the Senior Legal Delivery Manager to manage and motivate a Managed Services Delivery team to provide excellent service to our clients whilst delivering financial performance. You will have line management responsibility for a team of Team Leads providing support and a point of escalation for the team. In addition, this role will also be responsible for legal project management duties, with the support of the Senior Legal Delivery Manager, overseeing projects and associated tasks ensuring that they are appropriately resourced, instructions and guidance are given to the team, deadlines are achievable and relationships are managed with instructing teams.

You will be learning from industry leading experts in a friendly and committed working environment and get involved in a variety of tasks such as:

  • Develop and manage the team leads, overseeing operations across the sub teams from both a people management and service delivery perspective, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement effective supervision mechanisms from work allocation through to quality assessment.
  • Support the delivery large scale/complex projects and client engagements as necessary to ensure quality and continuity of service delivery.
  • Ensure effective work allocation and efficient resource management across the teams, including the sharing of knowledge transfer to cover for periods of absence; forecasting growth and recruitment areas and reporting up to the Senior Legal Delivery Manager where appropriate.
  • Act as a support and escalation point for team leads in relation to delivery and People issues in the first instance, in order to ensure issues are resolved swiftly and risks are mitigated.
  • Responsible for overseeing the overall work allocation and delivery of allocated projects/tasks for the team, ensuring efficient operational performance whilst achieving targeted deadlines.
  • Liaising with instructors of work regarding return dates, process improvement and feedback to achieve service excellence and improve quality
  • Responsibility for monitoring WIP, compliance with time recording and project fees billed across the team.
  • Ensure work is delivered across the team to service standards in accordance with the DWF excellence framework/ client SLA requirements.
  • Responsible for overall compliance with the procedures of the business as well as quality outputs from the team.
  • Assisting the product development team with the validation of process maps & guidance notes produced for new or updated work types to be completed by the team
  • Produce regular operational reports as directed by the Senior Legal Delivery Manager for relevant senior management, clients and stakeholders.
