Data Analysis / Business Intelligence Intern (Remote)

As the data intern, you will be working directly with the marketing manager and founders supporting the execution of the business strategy by collecting, analyzing, storing and presenting data, and using it to help the marketing & tech teams make better decisions. You will have a direct impact on brand and business developments! Your hours will be flexible and we are happy for you to work from home with a daily check-in. We are offering a 3-month internship with the opportunity for a paid position depending on performance.

What are you going to do:

The Coffy app is a startup business based in London changing the way people discover and drink their daily coffee (or tea, or hot chocolate). Partnering with local independent coffee shops, our new app provides individuals the opportunity to discover hidden gems in London and their local area, support small businesses, all while saving money by purchasing a Coffy subscription!

We are a small, friendly and open team of 7, working hard to grow and develop the business during these unprecedented times. We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and creative data intern who is keen to self-learn, has an eye for detail and is passionate about all things digital. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Managing master data, including creation, updates, back-ups and deletion
  • Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools
  • Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations
  • Provide sector and competitor benchmarking
  • Analyse datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool.
  • Set up and maintain automated data processes
  • Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing
  • Produce and track key performance indicators
  • Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques

What we ask

  • At least finished university degree -We also accept those working towards a degree
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools - advanced skills in Excel, experience with Google Data Studio, or equivalent (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
  • Experience with SQL, and BigQuery, Snowflake or equivalent
  • Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, keyword analysis and web analytics
  • The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows
  • An understanding of data protection issues
  • A degree in data science, business information systems, computer science, economics, information management, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent; we will also accept those working towards a degree
  • A super positive person! You’ll be working in a demanding and ever-changing startup environment so this is key
  • A self-starter who can work independently

  • A digital native competent at learning new tools
