Junior 3D Animator

Bournemouth, Dorset

The Junior 3D Animator will be responsible for creating CG character animation of the of the highest standard under tight deadlines. You will have an excellent understanding of timing, body mechanics, performance, and strong posing.

Candidates must show organisational skills, and be communicative with those in their team, and across departments.

You will be working alongside a talented and diverse group of people based in Bournemouth. This opportunity is open to both residents local to Bournemouth and those looking to relocate for the duration of the development, as there is a housing option provided (but this is not compulsory).

What will you be doing?

  • Ability to block animation in stepped keys
  • Exceptional understanding of animation principals
  • Comfortable using various types of 3D rigs.
  • Excellent understanding of body mechanics, performance and strong posing
  • Ability to find creative solutions to a problem
  • Managing your workload and completing the shots allocated to you on time.

What experience will you have?

  • At least 1+ years’ experience with a 3D programme such as Cinema 4D or Maya
  • Must have a show-reel demonstrating strong character animation

  • Able to take direction and willing to address constructive feedback
  • Able to communicate clearly with colleagues
  • Able to work collaboratively, as well as independently
  • Be able to deliver on schedule, working calmly and efficiently under pressure

  • Be able to interpret feedback and make appropriate changes
  • Effectively communicate ideas to colleagues in team meetings
