Document Advisor
Birmingham
As a Barclays Document Advisor you will be the primary source of expertise in relation to trade queries for Trade Operations teams, clients and stakeholders. You will manage trade related referrals from colleagues, stakeholders and clients, making decisions on transactions where needed. You will be engaging with stakeholders and global Operations teams to support the delivery of the Trade strategy.

What will you be doing?
• Engaging with product, legal, RCRM and other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Ensuring consideration is given to all risk and control in relation to any proposed changes and the necessary stakeholders and engaged
• Being a point of reference for process queries including complaints
• Being responsible for the management of transferrable and replacement documents, correctly substituting incorrect documents
• Engaging with clients to explain the technical aspects of a Letter of Credit and providing guidance on solution
• Providing coaching and training to colleagues and transfer of knowledge and skills
• Monitoring TradeFlow Work Groups to identify work received from the Processing Hub (Barclays Shared Services – BSS)
• Contacting customers and other areas of the bank to resolve issues identified by yourself or Barclays Shared Services
What we’re looking for:
• Good communication skills, written and oral with good attention to detail
• Good organisational ability
• PC skills including Microsoft Office
• Problem solving skills and analytical approach
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Previous experience of working in a Trade environment is desirable, to enable the jobholder to understand the workings of the different products
• Previous experience of working in a customer-servicing environment is desirable, to enable the jobholder to understand the types of issues and problems which occur
• Effective/active listening
Where will you be working?
Barclays Snowhill is at the heart of the professional district and commands a workforce of around 1000. With great transport links to Birmingham Grand Central and Snowhill train stations as well as the local metro. Our office has a dedicated staff coffee shop and deli and break out areas for staff.
