Junior Social Media Executive

Love Hemp is the UK’s multi award-winning, leading CBD brand.  We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our social media team, to help manage the day-to-day aspects of the social accounts as we expand.  The successful candidate will be well informed and passionate about their job and must have experience handling multiple social media accounts, have a positive can-do attitude, and will bring fresh and innovative ideas which can be implemented into the social strategy.

What are you going to do:

PURPOSE OF ROLE
To support the Social Media Manager in the development and delivery of the UK and international social media strategy. This role will involve working directly alongside the Social Media Manager to execute social media plans and initiatives, with a focus on the day-to-day workings and content creation for the key channels: Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for organising and scheduling the content for the month ahead across our key social channels.
  • Assist in developing the social media strategy in line with business objectives
  • Consistently drive the growth of our key channels: Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest with fresh and innovative content
  • Assist in managing the social media content strategy, ensuring we are in line with key customer moments and react to ‘live’ moments across relevant markets
  • Assist in managing the mix of content across channels to hit key content pillars and drive maximum engagement
  • Respond with a considered approach to channel requests across trade and product, and create in line with the overarching strategy
  • Assist in the execution and on-going optimisation of campaign and channel activity on social media. Regularly reporting plans and results to key stakeholders
  • Work alongside creative to develop the brand personality and one of voice for social media channels
  • Work with the Social Media Manager on our influencer and ambassador outreach strategy to drive engagement, content, follower growth and sales
  • Develop innovative ideas, engaging content and campaigns to push the brand ahead of competition
  • Be a brand guardian for the creative aesthetic of all social channels
  • Contribute to team brainstorms and idea generation for content, brand initiatives and campaigns
  • Undertake research when required in order to give insights into new or existing markets, new social channels and competitor activity
  • Keep up to date with what our competitors are doing on social channels
  • Be responsible for constant outreach with our online community, across all of our platforms. Positive communication with other brands / potential customers / existing customers / influencers and ambassadors.
  • Be responsible for our BrandBassador platform: creating missions for our Brandbassadors to complete to earn their rewards. This must be attended to daily

Extra information

Experience and/or desirable

  • Must have experience of managing either personal or a company’s social media accounts across multiple platforms to a high standard with a strong aesthetic
  • Keen and experienced content creator across multiple platforms, with a portfolio of work or examples of work. Including all or some of: Instagram (posts / reels / stories), TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube
  • Strong understanding of TikTok with evidence to demonstrate (particular area we need to branch into)
  • Understanding of social media data analytics and how this can impact decisions made when content planning.
  • Ability to create and edit video content
  • A basic understanding of CBD – the desire to learn and understand this supplement in much more detail.
  • Understanding of the “Brandbassador” platform (desirable, not essential)
