Shift Manager RRU Warehouse - Sittingbourne Logistics

We’ve got an opportunity for a RRU Shift Manager Warehouse to join the Recycling Returns Unit at our Logistic site in Sittingbourne.

In this role you will own all processes which impact the flow of products from goods in to goods out and controlling every aspect in between. It will be your responsibility to manage, develop and lead your team. You will lead a cost effective operation which protects service to stores and product availability and ensure defined succession plans are in place which develop future talent pipelines.

In this role you will also be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring all processes within the Warehouse are compliant against defined business metrics 

• Supplying stores on time and ensuring the availability of products

• Driving a culture of continuous improvements to ensure the warehouse exceeds performance targets ensuring the customer is the priority

• Develops strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

• Managing the day to day shift by making consistent collaborative decisions with the team

• Ability to step back from the operation and focus on areas of the Warehouse which need to be improved

• Drives a culture of high performance and standards from colleagues, with a focus on team development, coaching & engagement and talent pipelining. 

• Developing an engaging and diverse workforce that is reflective of the local community, alongside owning the warehouse specific colleague feedback survey

• Develops a multiskilled shift of colleagues and ensures training and development for all areas of the Warehouse allowing labour to be quickly mobilised to protect performance, productivity and service to stores.

• Ensures that all health and safety, food safety, auditing and legislative standards are met across the Warehouse
