An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Associate/Managing Quantity Surveyor, Costs to join the team at our Head Office in Bradford.
The team is responsible for all acquisition, new build, refurbishment and maintenance of property across the retail, logistics and manufacturing estates. Part of this is to ensure that our significant expenditure is tightly controlled and waste is minimised. This role will implement and continuously improve the management of costs within Property by ensuring control, accuracy, visibility and value is driven into all programme & project activity. Delivering expertise on capital control, budget preparation and cost engineering. Holding full responsibility for the performance management of QS support network.
Last year we launched our ‘4 day week’. The working pattern for this role is 4 days per week of 9 hours per day, based in our Bradford Head Office.
There is also a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays, or 13 per year (for 6 hours) in Head Office.
● Cost Management experience client side - knowledge of latest cost effective specifications & industry innovations
● Supply chain management & engagement
● Cost & waste reduction
● Experience of audit, litigation and contract disputes
● Exposure to range of commercial contracts
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to influence & build relations with key senior stakeholders
● Ability to prepare capital budgets, implement cost assurance and controls
● To plan & implement course correction procedures when necessary
