Job description
It has proved to be a vital service to our customers who need to make telephone shopping orders to be delivered to their doorstep by their local store, and very often a chat.
As the team and service grows at pace we are now excited to recruit for further Customer Assistants to join the dedicated team.
These are part time, home based roles, so it’s essential that you have access to a suitable working environment, away from any distractions and your own high speed internet connection.
A company laptop and headset would be provided.
The hours of work for this particular opening are Monday and Thursday 8am - 2pm and Saturday 8am - 4pm.
The team cover a variety of shifts between 8am-7pm so whilst this is a part-time opportunity, we are keen to hear from individuals who are flexible in their availability.
Full training would be included, however it's important that you’re PC literate (we use Google Suite and Amazon Connect) with an exemplary telephone manner.
You’ll be comfortable working from a laptop, be eager to learn new systems and have a great attention to detail, whilst working with high volumes of incoming calls and providing outstanding customer service during every interaction.
Role Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive)

Taking high volumes of calls from our customers (many of whom are elderly and/or vulnerable). Supporting customers with product selection in a clear and patient manner.

Ensuring that orders are input clearly into the system to assist our store colleagues who pick and deliver the orders.

Engaging in conversation - being a friendly voice on the end of the line

Highlighting any queries and liaising with the appropriate teams

General administration and use of various systems, Google and Amazon based

Supporting the wider Customer Centre when required
Key Requirements

Previous customer service experience, preferably phone based or in a retail role.

Sound PC skills, confident when using online systems and willing to learn

A team player with a positive attitude

Comfortable working in a very busy inbound call role, taking high volumes of calls each day and making accurate orders and notes without compromising customer care

Patient and personable, you may have worked with the elderly or vulnerable before

An excellent, clear and concise telephone manner

A problem solver, confident to take ownership of queries and escalate accordingly

Organised and flexible in approach, able to work shifts (including weekends) as per the scheduled rota

Reliable and punctual, ready to take calls in good time ahead of shifts

Permanent access to a quiet work environment, without distractions - to include an appropriate work desk and seat for use in continuous home working. We would also expect you to have a strong internet connection or to make arrangements to boost this.
